Wind power
Natural gas
  • Natural gas is a non-renewable fossil fuel. This means that there is a certain amount of natural gas on earth. It is almost imposssible to tell how much natural gas is left on earth. Natural gas takes millions of years to be formed so when we run out we cannot make more.

  • Natural gas is commonly found in layers of rocks that have tiny holes. These rocks hold the gas like a sponge. These rocks are deep in the ground. When ancient animals such as dinosaurs died their remains became buried under many layers of rocks and soil. Over a large period of time, heat and pressure created by the earths layers turned animal and plant matter into natural gas. This gas was absorbed into the rocks.

  • Natural gas is most commonly found under the ocean.

  • Gas is largely abundant and accessible right now but it will not last forever

  • Wind power is a renewable non-fossil fuel. This means that it will not run out, wind will always be accessible.

  • To create wind power a wind turbine must be constructed. This turbine will then create energy from the winds power.

  • Wind turbines are commonly found on a large amount of area with usually around one hundred turbines. Wind energy farms are only found around places that wind can be reached easily.

  • Wind power is abundant around the world and is becoming more accessible every year.
