Victoria policies for reducing emissions
Strategic Policy Framework for Near Zero Emissions from Victoria’s Fossil Fuels
Victoria set out a policy in 2008 in determination to meet the climate challenge and create a clean future for Victoria. The Victorian Government hopes to reach 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The government has a few ideas on how they are going to reach this target. One of the ideas is to create carbon capture and storage technologies. This involves capturing carbon emissions and storing them safely and securely in the ground. The government is currently investigating a range of technologies that can help have a greener future for Victoria.
